About The Event
This week has been challenging.
The recent racist riots across the UK have been weighing heavily on our hearts. We’re concerned about the immediate and lasting impact on our communities, as well as the existing issues these events may have triggered for some people. The physical safety of our communities have been at risk, and we are equally worried about the impact on mental health and well-being.
We have to prioritise well-being during this time and pay attention to key aspects of well-being that are often overlooked especially in the face of overt, covert and vicarious racism and discrimination. These troubling times highlight exactly why Inside Out Well-being exists as a social enterprise. Since starting in 2017, we’ve focused on addressing the lack of diversity and inclusion for mental health and well-being support in the UK.
When underlying issues like these resurface, it’s crucial that we come together to address them. Our strength is in our unity.
We’re inviting those who want to connect to join us on Tuesday 13th August, 7pm BST.
Together, we’ll share, support one another, and co-regulate.
Let’s continue to look after each other from the Inside Out.
"Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare."
– Audre Lorde
